We understand that, bright and talented as you all are, you are amateurs performing an incredibly difficult task this summer. That being the case, we are only teaching our students as effectively as we are ourselves being constantly evaluated, trained, and supported. If you are not demanding that your directors and Mentor/Master teachers are on your back all summer long, then you are missing a serious opportunity. That doesn’t even take into consideration the chances missed by your students.
Be relentless. Demand excellence from your students. Know that you can’t do that unless you demand the same from yourself.
