Chattanooga, TN got help from a local foundation to improve their lowest-performing elementary schools. It worked. How did they do it? It wasn’t smaller class sizes, laptops for kids, or government takeover of the district. Chattanooga schools focused on mentoring, guidance, and thoughtful expectations for teachers. Nice story.
